DOHA -- Qatar announced on Monday the temporary suspension of air navigation in its airspace as a precautionary measure in response to recent regional developments, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement said the decision was made as part of ongoing assessments and reflected the evolving security situation in the region.

It added that relevant authorities are closely and continuously monitoring developments in coordination with regional and international partners, and will keep the public informed through official channels.
